D.C. weekend
Now back to normal after a wonderful weekend in D.C. built around two great events: "C U @ Ed's" winning the audience award (an awesome audience) at DC Shorts film festival and WPH's celebration for his seventy-first birthday (an awesome multi-generational family affair).

Beyond the Political Din
We drove up to Saint John's University in Collegeville yesterday for a seminar at the School of Theology put on by Bernie Evans, whose expertise is Catholic Social Teaching. It was excellent and helped put in perspective the teachings as they pertain to voting and elections.
He will be in Minneapolis @ The Basilica on Tuesday, October 21, from 5:30 to 9:00pm to present the same seminar.
We took the opportunity to visit the Bush Library to see the pages from the Wisdom Books, which are part of the output from the fifth stage [of seven] of the Saint John's Bible project. The word "awesome" comes to mind!
