Yesterday God blessed us with a beautiful summer day. Sooooooooo after our weekly visit with our friends @ Augustana Care Center we went west to Excelsior for the balance of the day. Crazy Days means that the retailers mark everything down and others come to town for a giant garage sale.
We had a cruise through Lafayette Bay aboard the Minnehaha, which is a replica of the boats used by the Twin City Rapid Transit Company when it ran street cars from Stillwater through the Twin Cities to Excelsior. When we lived on Coolidge Avenue, I used to take the street car to work downtown.
We completed our Excelsior visit with dinner @ Maynard's at an outside table overlooking Lake Minnetonka.
Yesterday was a beautiful day.
